It’s been a busy and exciting few weeks at 52 Stone. Behind the scenes, we’ve been hard at work developing our programmes, refining our vision, and connecting with some incredible people who share our passion for filmmaking, education, and opportunity.

Since launching, we’ve been overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and support from educators, industry professionals, and organisations who see the value in what we’re building. These conversations have reinforced just how important creative, skills-focused learning is—particularly for young people who may not otherwise have access to opportunities in the screen industries.

At the heart of our work is a commitment to engaging, inspiring, and growing the next generation of storytellers, creators, and filmmakers. Our educational programmes are designed to give students hands-on experience with filmmaking, helping them develop technical skills, confidence, and an understanding of the industry. Whether through one-day introductory workshops (Engage), multi-day experiences (Inspire), or longer, immersive programmes (Grow), we are building pathways that nurture talent and unlock potential.

Beyond education, we’re also laying the foundations for exciting creative projects. We’re exploring partnerships that will enable us to produce films and media content that align with our mission, showcasing important stories and voices while creating real opportunities for collaboration and professional development.
